Feast of Tents Info
South Peninsula Sukkot 2024 (Feast of Tabernacles) will take place at Alaska Christian Retreat this year evening of October 16- through evening of October 24. Check-in after 2pm on October 16. Check-out before noon on October 25. Participants are encouraged to stay over night, but may also just attend during the day. There are also other nearby lodgings available.
There will be a donation box on the premises.
LODGING:
For daytime visitors, the suggested donation is $10/person/day.
For visitors staying in the dorms or cabins, the suggested donation is $20/person/night for age 5 and up. Children age 4 and under are free. The cabins do not have bathrooms, so cabin guests must walk to the dorm or hall to use the bathroom. The hall has 2 private bathrooms without showers. The dorms have on the ground floor 2 shared bathrooms with showers, one bathroom for males, and one for females.
Bring your own bedding, or rent linens for $15/set/stay.
For visitors staying in a tent or RV, the suggested donation is $15/person/night. There is a maximum limit of 6 RVs. Electrical hook up is included, but bring your own extension cord.
If you will be staying in the dorms or cabins, please plan to stay for the entire feast.
Parents are responsible to monitor their children at all times. Also, please expect for there to be lots of children.
FOOD:
Suggested donation for meals is $20/person/day age 12 and over. For children age 11 and under, the suggested donation for meals is $5/person/day. Nursing babies are free. Or bring a donation of unprepared, biblically clean (see Leviticus 11) food. If planning to donate food, sign up to provide a portion of the meal plan with our kitchen manager volunteer, Irene, irenemariem@outlook.com, 907-395-7633.
Breakfast will be on your own (kitchen facilities are available for use to prepare your own food). Lunch and dinner will be a planned menu.
Drinking alcohol is not allowed by our hosts.
On the first day, October 16, bring your own food for all meals you and your party plan to eat. There will be no provided meals on checkout day, October 25.
ACTIVITIES:
Morning: speakers/teaching
Afternoon: Activities/workshops such as arts and crafts, learning Hebrew circle dance, ladies spa, zit zit making. On 10/17/2024, the lake will be open for boating, not withstanding ice. There are canoes on site.
Evening: Ice cream socials, and bonfires.

May I bring pets?
No pets allowed in buildings. All pets should be kept on a leash. Unattended pets should remain in vehicles or be kenneled. Please clean up after your dog. You are responsible for any damage resulting from any pets brought on the grounds!
May I bring alcohol?
No alcoholic beverages, drugs or gambling are allowed. Violators of this rule will be asked to vacate without prior notice.
May I smoke?
No smoking inside the buildings or within 30 feet of buildings. All butts should be placed in proper receptacles.
Is there a curfew?
Yes. Quiet hours are from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
Can I get a refund?
No refunds or credits given after arrival and check-in.
Is there child care?
No. Parents are responsible for their children at all times. There will be children's activities, but a parent should participate along with any child that is not mature enough to be left unsupervised.
What are the rules for using the waterfront?
Parents are ultimately responsible for the safety of their children. Any unsupervised children near the waterfront are subject to direction from any adult or teen. Boating will be allowed only as a structured activity as scheduled. Life vests are required to be worn by any person using a boat. Life vests are available.
Do I still need to pay the $100 deposit if I do not plan to be participating in everything such that my recommended donation would be less than $100?
No. Note what activities and days you are participating in on your registration, and just put as a deposit half of what your recommended donation would be. Pay the rest when you come.
Can I get a copy of the schedule?
The final schedule will not be available until check in. Even then, some activities may be moved due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. However, a draft schedule is provided below.
